Child Safeguarding Policy

We in the Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Mourne Road, Drimnagh recognise the personal dignity and rights of children. Our prime concern is the safety and welfare of the children in our care. All who share in the parish’s ministry with children are committed to good pastoral practice. We aim to protect the children in our care from harm by developing an awareness of the practices that safeguard them. If we consider any child to be at risk we will inform the statutory authorities and help them in any way possible.

This statement is to be implemented by the Parish Team through the training of workers. It will also be monitored and managed by the Designated Person and the Parish Priest.
