Known locally as ‘the Bosco‘, the Saint John Bosco Youth Centre originated as the Youth Club of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish at a time when the youth population of Drimnagh was one of the largest in the country. Founded by the Priests and volunteer Parishioners of the time the Bosco has a very special place in the hearts of thousands of people who grew up in Drimnagh many of whom got their ‘start’ in life and met their life partners in or through the Bosco. With the changing nature of Youth work over the years and now divested from the Parish , the Bosco continues to flourish. The Parish still maintains representation on the Board of the Bosco.
