Each Christian through Baptism is called to holiness of life in love of God and of others. We each try to live this universal call to holiness in different states of life. Most Christians are called to live their lives as husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, consecrating themselves to each other in the Sacrament of Matrimony. Others are called to live as Single People and some are called to Priesthood or Diaconate through Ordination or to Religious Life through the profession of vows.
